Monaco inspires ONE

I am passionate about the 1950s, and Monaco has always had an allure that captivated me. And there is, without a doubt, a touch of Monaco in this 2026 LOVE collection at ONE.

In May 2025, as a celebration of ONE’s results, we had the opportunity to travel together to Nice and Monaco. I must admit that it was there that I revisited the love story of Grace Kelly and the Prince of Monaco. I was also reminded of the magazines I used to browse while waiting for my mother at the hairdresser, where the parties (and the scandals of this royal household, already after Princess Grace’s passing) were exuberant and elegant!

Alongside Audrey Hepburn and Coco Chanel, Grace Kelly is a fashion icon, not only for her beauty but also for the elegance that was always associated with her. From what can be gathered from archival images, Grace Kelly had a preference for small watches, both round and rectangular cases, always with delicate bracelets.

And when I saw the mesh that is now on the bracelet of the Grace watch, there was a click. Special and meticulously crafted, with the interweaving of nine golden links that fit together perfectly. The watch case is seamlessly integrated with the bracelet, looking like a bracelet that just happens to tell the time. Shortly afterwards, and already very close to the start of production, it became obvious that we had to do two things. Launch two versions with leather straps (a material widely used in the 1950s and one that elevates any look, fitting perfectly with Grace Kelly’s moodboard). And of course, we had to create a men’s watch that belonged to the same imaginary. Larger in case size, for a perfect fit on the wrist, and architecturally the perfect counterpart to Grace. Thus, Rainier in leather was born. For 20 years, ONE had not launched a rectangular men’s watch, and that, too, was a bold move...

A love story between a prince by birth and a princess by elegance could only result in two very special watches that are meant to last forever. A super special edition from ONE for this Valentine’s Day. The idea is that a woman buys a Grace for herself and a Rainier for her partner, or vice versa, of course. A man buying both watches, as they will form the perfect pair, hand in hand.
